Shamsuddin Anwar, MD, is a dual board-certified physician in internal medicine and infectious diseases. He earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed internal medicine training at Northwell Health-Staten Island and infectious diseases training at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Anwar currently serves as an assistant professor of medicine and infectious diseases at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra in New York City. An active participant in teaching in the internal medicine residency program at Staten Island University Hospital, he is an active member of IDSA and the American College of Physicians. He enjoys art and is a big-time foodie.
