Mahmoud Naser Aldine, MSC, is a passionate microbiologist dedicated to discovering novel antimicrobial compounds to combat infectious diseases. He holds a master’s degree in molecular biology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where he specialized in biotechnology for global health. His thesis focused on virome dynamics in HBV patients, deepening his understanding of host-microbe interactions. Now pursuing a PhD in bioscience engineering, he explores bacteria as a source of new antimicrobials to address the growing crisis of antimicrobial resistance. Beyond the lab, Naser Aldine enjoys engaging with the scientific community, sharing insights on microbiology’s role in shaping global health. He believes that nature holds untapped solutions to some of our biggest challenges and is committed to uncovering them.
