Erica Kaufman West, MD, FIDSA, earned her bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in Indiana. She graduated medical school from Georgetown University and finished her internal medicine residency and chief residency year at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She stayed in California for her infectious diseases fellowship at the combined UCLA/Cedars-Sinai program. She practiced infectious diseases in rural Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri, before coming back to Northwest Indiana, where she is the medical director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Franciscan Physician Network. She is a member of IDSA’s Journal Club and the Teaching and Learning Resources Workgroup. Her passion is caring for patients with HIV and HCV.
