Share Your Input on the Importance of Non-Discrimination Protections

Changes proposed by the Trump administration to the Affordable Care Act’s Section 1557 non-discrimination provisions would eliminate the prohibition of discrimination based on gender identity and eliminate health insurance coverage protections for transgender individuals and people living with HIV, in addition to rolling back other protections. Details on the proposed changes are available in the Kaiser Family Foundation analysis of the proposed rule. The public comment period is open until Aug. 13 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
